Comcast’s recent announcement requiring workers to “come back to work” three days a week starting in September will have an impact on MidTown Philly where the lack of office workers has negatively impacted a sense of community.
Starting Sept. 12, all U.S.-based Comcast cable and corporate workers should be working in the office three days a week, according to a corporate memo. That includes the 8,000 employees who will work in the two downtown Philadelphia towers.Philadelphia Inquirer
MidTown Philly condo sales have lagged behind neighboring Rittenhouse Square largely due to empty office and commercial spaces. Rittenhouse has a diverse community of homes, condos, restaurants and shops making a cosmopolitan destination that bounced back fairly quickly after the “mass exodus” in early 2020.
If you’re looking to get ahead of trends, it could be a good time to buy a condo in MidTown. Some sellers are tired and frustrated and willing to walk away with much less than they had hoped.
Where are the opportunities?
Depending on your budget and lifestyle, there are what could be great opportunities for you. For instance, The Residences at Ritz-Carlton offer luxury, amenity rich living with ownership benefits throughout the Ritz-Carlton family of properties. Sales have been soft and there are motivated sellers!
Two Liberty has also been hurt by the effects of COVID. Some luxury, high-rise condos have sold at values we didn’t think we’d see in recent years.
Neighboring condos at The Packard Grande, located next to The Urban League are more affordable and have a strong rental demand.
Philly has very few high-rise luxury condo options. The Residences at Two Liberty offer stunning views on the upper floors. Parking is available, with or without valet service. And you can literally access Liberty Place shopping center directly from the complex. Let’s explore all the best high rise views for you!
